Shivam Sachdeva | 2017 Scholar | WeWork Gurugram
I consider myself super lucky to be a member of Vahani family. I wish to share my internship experience. I am very happy and fortunate to be an intern at WeWork Labs.
I want to thank Reeva ma'am, Rashmani ma'am, Aniket sir, Mariya ma'am and all the team who helped me with this internship.
I feel this internship is a combo pack of all the internships because here I am learning various skills: Effective communication, Managing events, writing content, critical thinking, preparing strategies for customer acquisition, preparing pitch deck for startups, etc.
Under the guidance of Aniket sir and Rahul sir, I am learning and improving my skills daily. Every day is a new and exciting experience as he introduces me to new people from different backgrounds and who are solving different problems with their venture. I would love to work full-time at WeWork after my graduation because here I can learn and grow.
I want to thank Vahani again for this fabulous opportunity.
Vikash Kumar | 2017 Scholar (Right) | OYO Rooms
I would like to express my gratitude for your time and consideration in support of my summer internship at OYO. Because of Vahani's team's efforts, I was able to get my desirable internship.
At OYO, I worked in the operations department under the head of customer services, Mr. Ashish Bajpai. I was working on a project that aims to expand OYO across Europe. My role was to generate quality leads for smooth on-boarding of PMS partners from across Europe on the OYO platform. I also established a PMS vendor qualification framework for easy selection and categorization of PMS vendors.
Apart from the knowledge I gained related to the hotel industry, I gained a lot of work experience. I learnt how a goal is reached through execution of well-thought-out plans, I learnt to work in synergy with others and I learnt how to handle pressure if you have to meet a deadline. My mentor encouraged me to come up with my own solutions which was exciting. I also worked with Mr. Saheel Joshi, who was very encouraging and always ready to help me. I learnt by talking to others too. I learnt what they did and what skills they needed to do that etc. Overall, it was a great learning experience for me and I enjoyed it a lot.
Thanks for helping me get this internship. Your encouragement means a lot to me. I will do my best to make you all proud.Thank you again for all that you've done.
K Hinga | 2018 Scholar | NewsX
During my 2019 summer break, Vahani gave me the opportunity to intern at NewsX, one of the leading English news channels in India. While choosing the company for the internship, the main objective in my mind was to work in an environment which would help me improve my english language skills. Mrs. Rashmani Singh, my mentor, was a great help for me in securing this internship. Mr. Uday Singh was so kind to send in my resumè and to recommend me as an intern at NewsX.
I interned at NewsX for one month and my shift began from 3 in the afternoon to 9 at night. I was assigned to the digital team and my task was to write news article for the official website of NewsX. Most of the articles that I wrote were for the entertainment, lifestyle and education section. The best part of the internship at NewsX was that while learning new things, I was also able to do what I love, that is writing. During the initial days, I was very nervous, however my seniors and co-interns were always there to help me clear all my doubts and taught me many things about working in the field of journalism.
Interning at NewsX gave me the opportunity to learn how to go about in a professional setting and I also got the chance to improve my language skills especially my vocabulary. On my last day as an intern, my seniors appreciated me for my ability to learn new things and for being sincere in my duties. I thank Vahani for encouraging and supporting us, the Vahani scholars to intern during our summer breaks. This internship has helped me open up to new career choices in the field of journalism and to grow through my experiences.
Kajal Srivastava | 2017 Scholar | Policy Bazar
I am writing to express my gratitude for your time and consideration in support of my endeavours. I had a pleasant experience interning at Policy Bazaar.
The people there were very supportive. They took time out of their busy and stressful work to help me with my queries. I learnt the basics of product positioning and also multiple reports had been prepared by me on certain topics.
It also helped me improve my professional skills. I learnt how to manage time and work load efficiently, and also how to work as a team. I enjoyed working at Policy Bazaar and had a really good experience
I know it takes a lot of time to help us out and I deeply appreciate your kindness. I will do my best to deserve your confidence. Thank you very much.
Manisha Shekhawat | 2017 Scholar | Softbank Energy
I did my internship at Softbank Energy in June. I saw it as an opportunity to boost my programming skills, networking and to learn new concepts from the team. The team which I was working with, encouraged me to be more practical. I also learnt the value of team effort, how to work as a team and how to contribute as an individual.
I got this opportunity by the full efforts of Vahani mentors. I got full support from mentors specially from Rashmani ma'am when the company had some issues regarding LOR.
A big thanks to Reeva ma'am and Shalini ma'am who arranged the interview so that I can be more confident in my next interview. Mariya ma'am helped me make an error free CV.
And thanks to all Vahani mentors who gave their time and effort for making that opportunity for me. Thank you Vahani family.
